publishVerdict

publishVerdict(facts): "failed" | "approved" | "unchanged"

Defined in: packages/core/src/capture/publish/accept.ts:35

What publishing does to the build’s status.

  • A capture will run: unchanged, the capture sets the status.
  • Not pending any more (already accepted, failed, cancelled or reviewed): unchanged, so a repeated publish (job redelivery after a lost lease) changes nothing.
  • Publish failed: failed.
  • Published on the default branch: approved, whatever the review switch says.
  • Published on another branch with review off: approved, nobody will sign it off.
  • Published on another branch with review on: unchanged, the build waits as pending for a build-level verdict (ADR 0013, decision 3).

Accepting here is not an approval: no event, webhook or notification (build:created announced the upload), so nothing is asked of a reviewer and nothing is reported as one.
